Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to architect, deploy, and operate hybrid cloud infrastructure across AWS GovCloud and Microsoft Azure.

You will collaborate with software engineers, DevOps, security, and IT leadership to define standards, governance, and cost optimization. Responsibilities include building from scratch, applying IaC with Terraform, automating provisioning, and maintaining secure, scalable cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS models.
• Hands-on AWS GovCloud and Azure experience.
• Experience building cloud environments from scratch, esp. AWS GovCloud.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, security, and identity.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure with focus on AWS GovCloud and Azure.
• Implement secure, scalable, highly available environments.
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform or similar tools.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, deployments, monitoring, and operations.
• Create automation scripts using Python or similar languages.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud issues and determine root causes.
• Monitor performance, availability, and security; respond to incidents.
• Maintain cloud networking and security controls; manage VPNs and firewalls.
• Lead or contribute to cloud projects from design through deployment.
• Produce architecture diagrams and runbooks.
