Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. in Playa Vista, Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to architect, deploy, automate, and operate cloud-based and hybrid infrastructure across AWS GovCloud and Microsoft Azure.

The role collaborates with software engineers, DevOps, security teams, and IT leadership to define cloud standards, governance, and optimize cloud spend while delivering platform capabilities that accelerate cloud adoption.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud and Microsoft Azure.
• Ability to build cloud environments from scratch, especially AWS GovCloud.
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, networking, security, storage, and recovery.
• Advanced IaC experience with Terraform; familiarity with CloudFormation/Bicep/Pulumi is a plus.
• Automation and scripting using Python or similar languages.
• Understanding of CI/CD, version control, and DevOps practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure from the ground up on AWS GovCloud and Azure.
• Create secure, scalable, highly available environments using IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Develop and maintain IaC with Terraform or similar tools.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, deployments, monitoring, and operations.
• Write automation scripts in Python or similar languages.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud issues across compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Monitor environments for performance and security; respond to incidents.
• Maintain cloud networking and security configurations (VPCs, subnets, VPNs, firewalls).
• Collaborate on cloud security, identity access, encryption, backups, and DR.
