Job summary

Apex Space, Inc. in Playa Vista, Los Angeles, is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to architect, deploy, automate, and operate our cloud-based and hybrid infrastructure across AWS GovCloud and Azure.

You will collaborate with software, DevOps, and security teams to define standards, optimize spend, and implement IaC with Terraform, Python scripts, and robust security controls. This full-time role requires 5–7 years in cloud engineering and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud and Microsoft Azure.
• Ability to build cloud environments from scratch, especially in AWS GovCloud.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure with a focus on AWS GovCloud and Azure.
• Develop IaC using Terraform and similar tools; automate provisioning and config.
• Create automation scripts in Python for deployment and monitoring tasks.
• Monitor performance, security, and availability; respond to incidents and outages.
• Collaborate with software, DevOps, and security teams to enforce governance.
