Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and optimize secure cloud environments that support U.S. government missions.

The role involves securing data across AWS GovCloud, Azure, and multi-cloud setups while maintaining compliance with NIST, FedRAMP, RMF, and DoD standards. You will work with DevSecOps and infrastructure teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines, implement guardrails for IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), and perform ongoing risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, or an equivalent field; or 5+ years in cloud security engineering.
• 5-9+ years of cloud security engineering experience in regulated environments (DoD/ gov-cloud exposure is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures across AWS GovCloud, Azure, and Google Cloud with least-privilege access and data protection.
• Maintain compliance with NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, RMF, and DoD IL-4/IL-5 across cloud environments.
• Configure IAM, RBAC, JIT access, Key Vaults, and Zero Trust to support secure cloud operations.
