Job summary

Databricks is seeking an Infrastructure & Platform Specialist Solutions Architect (SSA) for AWS. You will guide enterprise customers through Databricks deployments on AWS, aligning roadmaps with the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.

Remote work is supported, with a focus on security, IaC, and scalable architectures. You will collaborate with Solutions Architects on complex workloads, provide pre-sales PoC architectures, and contribute to training and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical role with deep AWS expertise including cloud security, networking, and enterprise data platform design.
• 2+ years with distributed architectures and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
• 2+ years in a customer-facing technical role (Pre-Sales, Post-Sales, or Consulting).
• Deep expertise in at least one domain: Security & Identity, Networking & Deployments, Platform Administration, or InfraOps.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Java, or Scala, plus strong SQL.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, Engineering, or equivalent practical work experience.
• Nice to have Databricks and/or AWS certifications.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: guide customers through the full lifecycle of Databricks on AWS platform administration from design to production deployment.
• Production-Grade Architecture: design secure, scalable enterprise deployments meeting AWS networking, IAM, and security standards.
• Domain Expertise: act as SME in AWS infrastructure, IaC, cloud networking, and identity management.
• Pre-Sales Collaboration: support Solutions Architects with PoC architectures and AWS content.
• Community & Knowledge Sharing: deliver tutorials, hackathons, talks, and open-source contributions.
