Job summary

Databricks is seeking an Infrastructure & Platform Specialist Solutions Architect (SSA) – Azure to guide enterprise deployments on Databricks on Microsoft Azure, focusing on architecture, security, and administration.

You will work with Solutions Architects, design production-grade architectures, IaC, and support pre-sales with PoC content. You will also mentor and share knowledge through tutorials and conferences.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Microsoft Azure with security, networking, and data platform design.
• 5+ years in distributed architectures and big data (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
• 5+ years in customer-facing technical roles (Pre-/Post-Sales or Consulting).
• Strong expertise in Azure security controls, VNet, Entra ID, encryption, compliance.
• Experience with IaC using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM.
• Hands-on Python, Java, or Scala with SQL proficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering or equal experience.
• Databricks and/or Azure certifications are a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers through lifecycle of Databricks on Azure platform administration.
• Design secure, scalable enterprise deployments with Azure networking and identity.
• Partner with Solutions Architects on PoCs and technical content.
• Deliver tutorials, hackathons, talks, and contribute to open-source community.
