Job summary

Everforth ECS seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our Fairfax, VA team, hybrid onsite/remote, supporting DoD coalition enclaves in AWS and Azure. You will design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure while collaborating with experts to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

The role requires strong cloud engineering experience, DoD clearance, and travel up to 20% for CONUS/OCONUS sites. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline, and 10+ years of related professional experience.
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8140 IAT Level II Security+ (or higher) within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity in Fairfax, VA (up to 3 days in office).
• Ability to travel <20% to CONUS/OCONUS customer sites and government installations.
• 5-7 years of experience designing, engineering, deploying infrastructure in cloud environments.
• 5 years of experience with Azure Cloud computing technologies (Windows/Linux endpoints).
• Proficiency with Active Directory and DNS.
• Proficiency with Cloud networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of firewalls, NAT, SSL/TLS.
• Experience with automation languages (Terraform, PowerShell, ARM/Bicep, BASH, Python).
• Experience with STIGing Windows and Linux endpoints.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and support a team to implement multi-cloud solutions.
• Leverage automation and cloud services for DoD programs.
• Architect, design, and maintain cloud solutions in AWS/Azure.
• Assist in partner network integration, testing, and monitoring.
