Job summary

Everforth ECS seeks a Senior DevOps/Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable cloud platforms and delivery pipelines in our Arlington, VA hybrid office. You will collaborate with software, security, and infra teams and contribute to automation, security, and efficient cloud operations.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, writing code, and tooling across Terraform, CloudFormation, IaC, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical discipline; 8+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps/Cloud
• Experience designing, building, and operating production infra with automation and IaC
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infra, cloud, networking, and deployment issues

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate, and improve scalable cloud infra.
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or equivalent.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for application, infra, and config deployments.
• Develop automation, tooling, scripts, and integrations using Python, Go, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Deploy and operate containerized apps using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native platforms.
• Design cloud architectures using AWS, Azure, and/or GCP services.
• Automate provisioning, config management, deployment, monitoring, scaling, and workflows.
• Support microservices, APIs, distributed apps, and cloud-native platforms.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, and performance-management.
• Troubleshoot Linux, networking, containers, cloud services, deployments, and automation pipelines.
• Improve reliability, availability, resiliency, performance, and efficiency via automation.
• Ensure secure configurations, IAM, secrets, certificates, and cloud security best practices.
• Collaborate with software and security to improve workflows and deployment processes.
• Identify and replace repetitive ops tasks with scalable automation.
• Evaluate new cloud/DevOps technologies and adoption as appropriate.
