Job summary

Everforth ECS seeks a DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and GCP. Hybrid role with 3 days onsite at DISA HQ, Ft. Meade, MD. Bridge development and operations to optimize CI/CD pipelines and implement IaC for automation across cloud and on-prem deployments.

The candidate will work on DoD networks, enforce DevSecOps, and mentor junior engineers while advancing deployment processes and DevOps culture.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with an active secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related professional experience.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level II Security+ or higher.
• Expert knowledge in at least one cloud provider (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Terraform and Ansible required; multi-cloud IaC experience.
• Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm for container orchestration.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
• CI/CD pipelines defined with YAML; Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI.
• Linux OS proficiency; experience with security/compliance guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure as Code: Design, deploy, and maintain immutable infrastructure across multi-cloud environments.
• Deployment & CI/CD Pipelines: Build and optimize end-to-end automated pipelines.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Manage Kubernetes clusters for high availability.
• Observability & Reliability: Establish monitoring and alerting across hybrid systems.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce DevSecOps practices and IAM/network security.
• Mentorship & Strategy: Lead and mentor engineers; shape deployment processes and DevOps culture.
• Other duties as assigned.
