Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Cedar Rapids, IA, with a strong background in cloud-native platforms and DevSecOps. You will design scalable deployments using Kubernetes, GitOps tooling, and modern automation strategies across on-prem and cloud environments.

You will help build and maintain internal tools, mentor teammates, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate engineering initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5+ years of experience or an Advanced Degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience with Cloud Native Computing Foundation technologies: Docker/Containers, Kubernetes.
• Experience with Source Control Management: GitHub or GitLab, Git.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable deployments using Cloud Native technologies and best practices.
• Work with Kubernetes in private on-prem and public cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain DevSecOps pipelines and automations.
• Contribute to internal tooling for automation and user experience for engineering teams.
• Mentor and onboard teammates and support cross-team collaboration.
