RTX is seeking an experienced Application Engineer - DevOps & Engineering Tools to deploy, administer, and support enterprise-wide software applications across on-prem and cloud environments.

You will leverage containerized solutions to optimize deployments and administration for SWCM and build capabilities, while partnering with engineering teams to migrate legacy technologies to modern, Git-based, cloud-hosted platforms.

Formación

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience, or an Advanced Degree with relevant experience.
• Strong Linux system administration experience.
• Experience deploying and managing server-based hosted COTS apps in on-prem and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Hands-on experience with Docker and/or Podman.
• Ability to script automation with Bash, Python, or PERL.
• Troubleshooting network and Web/HTTP concepts (SSL, certificates, proxy, REST).
• Security clearance eligibility required; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsabilidades

• Deploy, sustain, and support enterprise software applications on-premise and in cloud environments using DevSecOps practices.
• Develop and maintain deployment automation, container orchestration scripts, and IaC templates.
• Configure and harden cybersecurity and compliance posture of hosted solutions.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and optimize build/test integrations.
• Resolve incidents and contribute to internal knowledge base articles.
• Plan and execute migrations from legacy to modern platforms.
• Develop enterprise solution architectures and present metrics to leadership.
• Collaborate with programs to align deployments with stakeholder needs.
• Implement and maintain service monitoring to maximize uptime.
