Job summary

Raft, a U.S.-based defense tech company, seeks a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable platform infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments. You will automate software delivery, infrastructure provisioning, and security integration while collaborating with software, cybersecurity, and customer stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps or related field.
• 3+ years deploying production Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience provisioning, hardening, and maintaining compliant Kubernetes clusters.
• Understanding of Kubernetes architecture, Helm, and CNIs like Calico/Cilium.
• Experience running stateful, HA, distributed services in Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms for enterprise workloads.
• IaC experience with Terraform/Ansible or similar.
• CI/CD pipelines with GitLab Runners.
• Experience with packaging, artifacts, and build automation.
• Experience implementing monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus/Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain IaC for distributed, containerized lifecycles.
• Architect, deploy, and manage Kubernetes platforms across AWS and other clouds.
• Design and optimize secure CI/CD pipelines with testing, security scanning, and release management.
• Implement and mature GitOps workflows with modern tooling.
• Deploy and support platform hosted services for multiple tenant teams.
• Build resilient, production-grade Kubernetes clusters with security and operations in mind.
• Provide secure, multi-tenant access to cloud-native services.
• Develop automation to improve platform reliability and scalability.
• Configure Kubernetes networking (Calico/Cilium) and CNIs.
• Deploy observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Fluent Bit, Loki, Kibana).
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate security across the lifecycle.
