Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and deploy scalable cloud-native applications. You will work closely with the lead Cloud Engineer to implement GitOps patterns for COTS and internally developed solutions.

The role is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with hybrid or onsite options. You will mentor teammates, manage multiple tasks, and communicate clearly with leadership and engineering peers to drive automation across engineering teams.

Qualificações

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Experience with Cloud Native Computing Foundation technologies: Docker / Containers, Kubernetes.
• Experience with Source Control Management: GitHub or GitLab, Git.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement scalable deployments using Cloud Native Computing Foundation technologies and best practices.
• Gain production experience with Kubernetes in private on-prem and public cloud deployments.
• Work with GitOps tooling and methodology to automate deployments.
• Contribute to DevSecOps pipelines and automation capabilities.
• Develop and maintain internal tools that enable engineers with world-class automation and UX.
• Collaborate across teams to enable rapid onboarding of Cert DevOps tech.
