Job summary

RTX in Aurora, CO is seeking a Principal Platform IAC Engineer to develop, maintain, and modernize infrastructure as code within a hybrid-cloud environment. The role combines hands-on engineering with documentation and baseline control to support a strategic national asset.

You're expected to guide engineers in tooling, apply advanced Python, Helm, and Kubernetes know-how, and ensure secure deployments while adhering to standards and best practices. Security clearance required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with cloud, containerization, IaC/PAAS, Linux, and microservices.
Proficiency with automation tools such as Ansible or Chef; Agile methods.

Responsibilities

Deploy, modernize, and support IaC in hybrid cloud environments.
Automate tools and templates using Ansible and Python scripts.
Integrate Kubernetes and Docker containerization.
Design and optimize build/test pipelines across on-prem, virtualized, and cloud.
Mentor engineers on tooling usage and industry standards.
Apply Python, Helm, and Kubernetes for secure deployments.
Document processes and maintain baseline control for the program.
