Job summary

Raft is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design and maintain secure, scalable platform infrastructure across cloud and on‑prem environments. You will automate software delivery, infrastructure provisioning, and security integration while partnering with software engineers and customer stakeholders.

The role emphasizes Kubernetes, CI/CD automation, GitOps practices, and compliance with security standards. Expect hybrid work near Scott AFB, IL with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps roles.
• 3+ years deploying production Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience provisioning, hardening, and maintaining compliant Kubernetes clusters.
• Understanding of Kubernetes architecture, Helm, and Calico/Cilium networking.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Terraform/Ansible IaC experience.
• GitLab Runners for CI/CD.
• Observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Fluent Bit, Loki, Kibana.
• Active Sec+ and CKA/CKAD/CKS certifications.
• Local to Scott AFB, IL.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain IaC for distributed, containerized apps.
• Architect, deploy, and manage Kubernetes platforms across AWS and other clouds.
• Build and optimize secure CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and security scans.
• Implement GitOps workflows with modern tooling.
• Deploy and support platform services for DOW tenant teams.
• Maintain highly available production-grade Kubernetes clusters.
• Configure multi-tenant access to cloud-native services.
• Develop automation for reliability and scalability.
• Configure Kubernetes networking (Calico/Cilium).
• Deploy observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Fluent Bit, Loki).
• Collaborate with engineers to embed security across the lifecycle.
