Job summary
phData, a remote-first data and AI consultancy, seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer (Cloud) to lead delivery and reliability of modern cloud data platforms for managed services clients in the US. You will automate, troubleshoot, and document; collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and client stakeholders; leverage AI tools to accelerate workflows while ensuring governance and security.
Ideal candidates have 6+ years in DevOps, cloud data, and production support, with Snowflake, AWS, Azure, and
Qualifications
- 6+ years of DevOps cloud data platform experience, production support.
- Strong knowledge of SQL for querying and tuning.
- Experience with Snowflake and cloud-native data warehouses.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and IaC tooling (Terraform).
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end operational support for cloud data platforms across client environments.
- Automate, monitor, and optimize data pipelines and jobs (ETL/ELT).
- Lead incident management with root-cause analysis and remediation.
- Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams and clients.
- Document runbooks, best practices, and governance processes.
