Job summary

Releady is seeking a senior Data Engineer Consultant to lead end-to-end data pipelines and data products for its Data Services team. You will design scalable, secure architectures, model complex data, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into production-ready solutions.

The role emphasizes Cloud (Azure), Snowflake, and Databricks expertise, with a focus on data quality, governance, and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; seven+ years in data engineering.
• Proficient in SQL with automation and pipeline optimization.
• Cloud experience with Azure services (ADLS, Synapse, Data Factory).
• Strong exposure to Snowflake, Databricks, and orchestration tools like Airflow or Tidal.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, integration patterns, and data warehousing.
• Experience implementing CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and DataOps practices.
• Solid grasp of security, privacy, and compliance in regulated environments.
• Experience with large-scale distributed data platforms and parallel processing.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement; able to lead technically without people mgmt.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of complex data pipelines and data products from development through production.
• Translate designs and requirements into detailed architecture and implementation plans.
• Architect and build scalable, secure data solutions across enterprise platforms.
• Apply advanced data modeling techniques (Data Vault 2.0, dimensional, domain-oriented).
• Embed data quality, testing, security, and observability by design across pipelines.
• Drive operational excellence: incident analysis, stabilization, and deployment optimization.
• Identify optimization opportunities for performance, reliability, and cloud cost management.
• Influence data engineering standards and mentor engineers through reviews.
• Work in an agile/DevSecOps pod, collaborating with leads, modelers, analysts, and partners.
• Support AI/ML-ready datasets by ensuring well-modeled, governed data and clear communication.
