Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Manager, Cloud & Data Platform Engineer to own the Retail Resource Center's Google Cloud stack, ensuring reliable deployments, data quality, security, and scalable analytics. You will drive CI/CD, containerization, and data pipelines to support trusted insights and rapid delivery.

The role emphasizes AI-enabled automation, governance, and strong collaboration with analysts and product owners to translate reporting needs into trusted datasets and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years in DevOps, cloud, or data engineering with GCP.
• Strong Kubernetes and Docker knowledge.
• Experience with IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with AI tooling.
• Experience designing and operating data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.

Responsibilities

• Owns the application and data stack in Google Cloud (Cloud Run, GKE, Redis, BigQuery).
• Designs and maintains CI/CD pipelines for apps and data workloads.
• Oversees containerization and image lifecycle management.
• Designs batch and streaming data pipelines into BigQuery.
• Develops analytics data layer and SQL transformations for reporting.
• Implements data quality, lineage, and observability; monitors data freshness.
• Manages IAM, security controls, and retention in line with policies.
• Plans capacity, autoscaling, and disaster recovery for apps and data stores.
• Collaborates with engineers, security, and stakeholders on solutions.
