Qualifications

• Experience leading complex software builds and releases across multiple environments.
• Experience in large regulated or federal environments.
• Deep expertise in software configuration management and release engineering.
• Broad knowledge of development, QA, systems engineering, and DevOps.
• Familiarity with CM practices (identification, baselining, change control, status accounting).
• Proficiency with source control and branching/merging strategies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and artifact repositories.
• Scripting for automation in Bash/PowerShell/Python.
• Experience with COTS software management, patches, and version control.
• Infrastructure as code and environment management (Ansible/Terraform).
• Understanding of software quality standards, governance, and training developers on CM tools.
• Familiarity with work management and documentation tools (JIRA, Azure Boards, Trello, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart).
• Knowledge of database concepts, dependency management, and build reproducibility.
• Strong analytical skills to investigate build failures and deployment issues.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentoring and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Support VA applications and lead migration to the cloud.
• Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software and COTS products.
• Perform CM and release engineering tasks ensuring compliant build parameters and logistically sustainable processes.
• Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools to improve software modeling and development.
• Develop build procedures to support software product development and use.
• Develop software CM standards for company-wide use.
• Train developers in the use of CM tools and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and solutions to complex problems.
• Operate autonomously and make sound decisions.
• Ensure compliant, repeatable build and deployment processes across projects.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead and train junior analysts/engineers in CM best practices.
