Job summary

CapTech Consulting is seeking a Cloud Architect to lead technical direction on client projects within CapTech’s Systems Integration practice. You will supervise internal teams, mentor developers, and design cloud solutions across AWS/Azure/GCP, applying a broad toolset to deliver value.

The role requires strategic thinking, strong communication, and proven experience guiding complex architectures, with a hybrid work model and a focus on delivering measurable client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent
• Cloud architecture experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• 7+ years software development experience with a broad set of tools
• Ability to translate architecture decisions into business value
• Experience leading multiple technical project teams
• Ability to build consensus on architectural issues
• Familiarity with cloud concepts: IaaS, Serverless, Containers, PaaS, CI/CD, IAM
• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies: Waterfall, Scrum, XP, Kanban, SAFe

Responsibilities

• Position yourself as a trusted advisor to CapTech clients
• Oversee and set technical direction of client projects with client staff
• Lead internal teams and act as a Service Offering liaison
• Design, implement, integrate, and support Cloud solutions
• Collaborate with clients and CapTech team to define requirements and manage scope
• Define technical and solution architecture for phased software development
• Provide hands-on technical direction to developers and review code
• Create documents detailing strategy, assessment, or design
• Explain architecture differences between solution methods across platforms
• Apply knowledge of organizational procedures to inform decisions
• Collaborate with business development to demonstrate capabilities and create estimates
