Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking experienced technologists to join our Solutions Architect team. You will partner with some of the world’s largest financial services customers to craft scalable, resilient cloud architectures and accelerate adoption of AWS services.

As a trusted advisor, you will drive cloud adoption strategies, educate customers through workshops, and collaborate with sales to create strategic revenue opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years design/implementation or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• 4+ years experience in cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking or data & analytics
• 4+ years of programming in Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Rust, Go, or C/C++
• 4+ years experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK or Pulumi

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to ensure long-term success by harnessing AWS services to accelerate their business.
• Formulate and execute a cloud adoption strategy that builds relationships and revenue streams.
• Become a trusted advisor by mastering AWS services, design patterns and best practices and sharing knowledge with clients and wider AWS community.
• Act as the voice of the customer for AWS service teams to improve the platform.
• Develop reusable solutions with other SAs for common business and architectural problems.
• Educate customers by leading workshops and hands-on classes on AWS services.
• Build relationships with senior technical stakeholders to foster cloud advocacy.
• Contribute to AWS customer-facing publications and speak at events.
• Help hire, onboard and mentor new SAs.
• Travel up to 20% may be discussed at interview stage
