Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced cloud solutions architect to design and architect end-to-end cloud solutions for complex customer requirements.

You will evaluate architectures, drive technical trade-offs, and ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and cost-optimized. The role partners with senior leaders, account teams, and engineering to translate business needs into technical design, mentor teams, and help customers transform their workloads on AWS with trusted advisory

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, security).
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end cloud solutions for complex requirements, making technical trade-offs and evaluating architectures for scale while ensuring solutions are extensible, reusable, secure, reliable, cost-optimized, and performant.
• Build and maintain relationships with customer senior leaders, understanding their business objectives and technical challenges to influence strategic direction and ensure technology decisions will meet long-term business outcomes.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences, creating technical content that is easily adopted and reusable by others while harmonizing discordant views to build consensus.
• Lead technical discussions and dive deeply into technical details with customer teams across application architecture, system design, and implementation considerations, proactively identifying gaps and opportunities.
• Drive effective customer feedback gathering, distilling and translating feedback into clear business and technical requirements for product and engineering teams while contributing to reference designs and reusable artifacts.
