Job summary

Precise Systems invites a seasoned Cloud Engineer III to lead secure cloud, hybrid, and edge-to-cloud architectures supporting Navy and DoW missions. You'll work across AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, on-prem and tactical environments, providing senior technical leadership to engineers, cybersecurity, and government stakeholders.

This in-person role requires 10+ years of cloud experience, Security+, and a TS/SCI clearance; the team focuses on DevSecOps, cross-domain design, and RMF compliance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience.
• 10+ years of cloud architecture and related experience.
• Experience with AWS GovCloud or Azure Government.
• Experience developing secure cloud, hybrid cloud, edge-to-cloud, containerized, or enterprise platform architectures.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, and cloud-native deployment patterns.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain risks and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of secure cloud architectures that support data-driven mission capabilities and Navy objectives.
• Develop hybrid edge-to-cloud architectures across tactical edge nodes, on-platform compute, on-prem, and cloud environments.
• Architect solutions across multi-classification environments with cross-domain considerations and security requirements.
• Lead cloud deployments and modernization across AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, on-premises, tactical, and containerized environments.
• Implement and optimize DevSecOps pipelines with CI/CD, IaC, automated security scanning, and secure deployment practices.
• Ensure cloud architectures comply with DoW cloud standards, Impact Levels 4–6+, Zero Trust, RMF, and cybersecurity controls.
• Provide technical leadership to engineers, cybersecurity personnel, operators, and government stakeholders.
• Support architecture reviews, risk identification, and actionable recommendations.
