Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Cloud Engineer II to design, implement, automate, and sustain secure cloud and hybrid environments for Navy and DoD missions. You’ll work with senior architects and cybersecurity teams to develop scalable, mission-ready cloud solutions across AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, on-premises, and edge compute.

This is an on-site role in San Diego, CA, with up to 5% travel. The team supports DevSecOps, IaC, and secure platform operations, ensuring compliance and risk management across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with extensive experience in cloud/DoD environments.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.

Responsibilities

• Support design, implementation, and sustainment of secure cloud and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Assist with edge-to-cloud architectures and integration of edge nodes and on-platform systems.
• Develop IaC and automation scripts to enable repeatable provisioning and deployment.
• Contribute to DevSecOps pipelines with CI/CD, automated security, and configuration management.
• Support RMF, Zero Trust, vulnerability remediation, and audit-ready artifacts.
