Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Cloud Engineer III to lead the design, implementation, modernization, and sustainment of secure cloud and edge-to-cloud architectures for Navy and DoD mission capabilities. This onsite role in San Diego includes up to 20% travel and requires senior leadership across cross-functional teams.

The position emphasizes DevSecOps, multi-classification environments, and compliance with DoW cloud standards and RMF.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizen with active security clearance to start.
14+ years of experience with advanced cloud architectures.
Experience with AWS GovCloud / Azure Government environments.
Experience in cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, or related technical roles.
Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills.
Familiarity with RMF, Zero Trust, and cybersecurity controls.

Responsibilities

Lead secure cloud architecture design and implementation.
Develop hybrid edge-to-cloud architectures across edge, on-platform compute, and cloud environments.
Architect solutions for multi-classification environments with cross-domain considerations.
Lead deployments across AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, on-premises, and containerized environments.
Implement and optimize DevSecOps pipelines with CI/CD, IaC, and automated security scanning.
Ensure compliance with DoW cloud standards, RMF, and cybersecurity controls.
Provide technical leadership to engineers, cybersecurity personnel, operators, and government stakeholders.
Support architecture reviews, risk assessments, and stakeholder briefings.
