Job summary

Leidos Intelligence Group seeks a senior Cloud Engineer in Reston, VA to lead secure, scalable cloud architectures across unclassified and classified enclaves. You will design hybrid connectivity, manage IaC, and support air-gapped environments with DoD RMF/NIST controls.

Qualifications include TS/SCI with polygraph, 8–12 years of experience (Masters 6–10), AWS GovCloud/Azure, Terraform/CloudFormation, and Kubernetes expertise. Hybrid work in a government facility.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• BS degree and 8–12 years of experience or Masters with 6–10 years of prior relevant experience; PhD possible in technical domain.
• Hands-on AWS cloud engineering experience (3+ years).
• Experience designing/operating in Azure or AWS GovCloud (US) regions.
• Experience with AWS Core services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Route53, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS).
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines (GitLab).
• Experience administering Windows Server and AD DS.
• Experience with Python scripting.
• Understanding DoD SRG, RMF, and NIST frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and deploy secure, scalable solutions for unclassified and classified environments.
• Ensure hybrid connectivity and data replication between unclassified and classified networks.
• Maintain IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Configure VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, ACLs, load balancers, DNS, VPNs, and ExpressRoute/Direct Connect.
• Implement secure network segmentation and private connectivity across cloud and on-premises enclaves.
• Deploy and manage containerized workloads with EKS or AKS.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub Actions) for audited deployments.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot complex cloud stacks; root-cause analysis.
• Support on-premises and air-gapped environments; secure transfer of artifacts.
