Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) for its Enterprise Support organization in the Chicago area.

The TAM will act as a principal technical advisor, guiding customers from startups to Fortune 500s to optimize AWS usage and operational health. The role emphasizes strategic guidance, proactive issue resolution, and cross-team collaboration with senior leadership, with travel of about 10% or more.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications experience.
• 5+ years of technical engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related discipline, and 7+ years of equivalent work experience or 9+ years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and see issues through to resolution with engineers and service teams.
• Drive adoption and use of AWS services (EC2, S3, DynamoDB & RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, IoT, etc.).
• Represent AWS in a customer environment and discuss incidents with senior leadership.
