Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Laboratory Sciences required.
• Lab experience 5-7 years in a hospital CLIA setting with leadership experience 3-5 years.
• ASCP-BOC certification required; HT(ASCP) preferred.
• Detailed knowledge of FACT, Joint Commission and CLIA requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong personnel management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains QA systems and remediation processes for deviations.
• Assigns, monitors, and supervises laboratory work to meet SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Ensures readiness for regulatory reviews and inspections including JC and FACT.
• Oversees coordination of clinical trials with investigators, coordinators, QA and compliance.
• Conducts interviews and hires staff according to department policies to ensure staffing.
• Responsible for staff training and education including safety, infection control and compliance.
