Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology required or Bachelor's Degree Laboratory Sciences required and Other Certificate/Diploma Clinical Laboratory Sciences required
Must understand laboratory equipment operation, maintenance and repair and analytic techniques
Must be able to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Follow procedures for specimen handling, processing, testing, reporting and record-keeping
Maintain records showing proficiency testing samples are tested like patient samples
Adhere to quality control policies and document calibrations and maintenance
Follow corrective action policies when tests are not within performance levels
Identify problems affecting test performance and notify supervisors
Document corrective actions for test system deviations
