Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced data analytics specialist for the Quality Abstraction department. The role emphasizes leading multiple analytics projects, collaborating with clients to define scope, and delivering BI reports that translate complex data into actionable insights for clinical and financial operations.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in health-related fields or RN, at least two years in health data, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Understanding registries and databases relevant to assigned projects.
• Communicates effectively in verbal, written, and electronic formats.
• Proficiency using computer software tools and Windows operating system.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong ability to apply the principles and practices of data management.

Responsibilities

• Directs and executes multiple, concurrent projects independent of or with little supervision from leadership.
• Leads the evaluation of the request for service to understand business and technical open issues to be clarified with the client.
• Works with the client to understand business needs, project scope, and deliverables.
• Leads ongoing interface with the client to develop analytic approaches to the request.
• Understands and executes development of population definitions to meet project needs.
• Recommends processes to balance data needs and urgency.
• Develops reports using various BI tools and educates clients on data concepts.
• Consults with clients to quantify key operational performance elements.
