Fairview Health Services in Minneapolis, MN, seeks a Senior Clinic Appointment Coordinator for our Clinics and Surgery Center. This 1.0 FTE, benefits-eligible role supports clinic operations, check-out, scheduling, and administrative tasks to ensure a seamless patient experience.

The Clinic Coordinator team works with a large interprofessional group to support patients and clinics, using scheduling tools and processes to keep appointments, referrals, and pre-visit activities organized.

Qualifications

• Two years of post-high school education or related healthcare specialty experience or office management education/training.
• 1 year in Clinic Coordinator role.
• Strong customer service and scheduling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a clinic resource and subject matter expert.
• Ensures pre-appointment management is complete.
• Train new staff and mentor Clinic Coordinators.
• Float to other clinics to cover duties as needed.
• Attend and participate in daily clinic huddles.
• Provide exceptional patient-centered service and address patient needs.
• Coordinate and schedule future appointments and procedures after visits.
• Resolve non-clinical patient issues and provide coverage.
• Support clinic administrative tasks (faxing, mailing, scanning, supplies).
• Monitor provider schedules, waitlists, recalls and reschedules.
• Register and schedule referrals for new patients.
• Arrange accommodations or interpreter services as needed.
