Fairview Health Services in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Senior Clinic Appointment Coordinator for our Clinics and Surgery Center. This 1.0 FTE role involves coordinating and scheduling post-visit follow-ups, managing referrals, and acting as a clinic resource for staff.

The position emphasizes patient-centered care, thorough pre-appointment processes, and collaboration across clinics. Training responsibilities include preceptor duties and supporting ongoing staff development.

Qualifications

• Two years of post-high school education or related healthcare specialty experience or office management education/training.
• 1 year in Clinic Coordinator role.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a specialty-specific clinic resource and subject matter expert.
• Ensures pre-appointment management is complete.
• Train new staff and assist in continuous learning for Clinic Coordinators (preceptor).
• Float to other clinics and help perform Clinic Coordinator duties as needed.
• Attends and actively participates clinic huddles daily.
• Maintains patient-centered care and proactively meet patient and family needs.
• Coordinates and schedules future appointments and procedures after patient visits.
• Resolves non-clinical patient issues and provides backup coverage.
• Supports clinic business with administrative tasks (faxing, mailing, scanning, ordering supplies).
• Monitors provider schedules, clinic waitlists, recalls and reschedules.
• Register and schedule referrals for new patients as necessary.
• Manage pre-appointment activities such as arranging accommodations or interpreter services.
