Job summary

Children's Rescue Fund in New York City seeks a licensed clinical social worker to supervise client care coordinators, guide program development, and ensure ethical service delivery within shelter-based family services.

You will coordinate intake assessments, crisis intervention, and referrals to housing and community resources, while collaborating with DHS and allied agencies to secure permanent housing for families.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York state upon hire.
• Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• 3–5 years of experience in social services with supervisory responsibilities.
• Knowledge in supervision, client assessment, service planning and case management.
• Experience with diverse cultures; Spanish a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• High computer proficiency (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage Client Care Coordinators with staffing and scheduling.
• Guide development, implementation and achievement of program goals.
• Handle administrative and operational issues affecting staff.
• Assign cases for intake and ongoing shelter management.
• Ensure timely completion of comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to enhance services.
• Coordinate mental health and related services for families.
• Ensure clear documentation of assessments and recommendations.
• Consult with professionals to implement a multidisciplinary approach.
• Provide crisis intervention and on-call support; supervise staff training.
• Collaborate with DHS and housing teams; advocate as needed.
• Develop group work for families; ensure referrals to community resources.
• Complete and discuss exit summaries; ensure follow-up services.
• Participate in family meetings and staff trainings; ensure policy adherence.
