Job summary

Children's Rescue Fund in New York, NY seeks a Licensed Social Worker to coordinate mental health services for homeless families. You will conduct bio-psychosocial assessments, liaise with case management, and help link families to housing and community resources.

Qualifications include LMSW in NY and a Master’s in Social Work, with at least two years’ experience. Spanish and/or French skills are a plus; salary is commensurate with experience and includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New York upon hire or within three months.
• Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in social services, counseling or homeless services.
• Proficiency with diverse cultures, strengths-based and family-centered practice.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments for each family.
• Assist families experiencing homelessness navigating multiple systems.
• Improve access to mental health services for families in shelter.
• Provide clear written reports with findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality service.
• Coordinate safety planning and psycho-education for families.
• Prepare families and children for services and housing processes.
• Facilitate referrals and linkages to community resources.
