Job summary

Crawford & Company is seeking a Claims Supervisor for Workers Compensation in Las Vegas. The role oversees investigation, management, and disposition of claims, supporting the VP/AVP of Claims and ensuring adherence to guidelines within the service center.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with clients and carriers, and oversee workflow in Risk Tech and other systems to maximize productivity while maintaining compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Five or more years of progressive experience as a Claim Examiner, with ability to handle complex cases.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical ability; strong mathematical aptitude.
• Ability to manage, supervise, and develop employees.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance coverages, practices and negotiating skills.
• Familiarity with legal, medical and technical disciplines; licensing where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Establishes performance standards and conducts appraisals; administers actions and salary adjustments as needed.
• Reviews, analyzes, and assigns losses to claim examiners; ensures timely closures.
• Coaches staff on investigations, reserving, and settlement techniques; ensures compliance standards.
• Keeps executive leadership informed; escalates matters beyond authority limits.
• Operates and trains staff on Risk Tech Claim System and related platforms.
