Job summary

Crawford is seeking an experienced Claims Supervisor in Las Vegas to oversee the investigation, management, and timely disposition of workers’ compensation claims. You will work with executives to ensure service levels, compliance, and effective risk management throughout the claim lifecycle.

Responsibilities include performance management, workload balancing, training staff on reserving and settlement techniques, and ensuring adherence to internal and external guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Five or more years of progressive experience as a Claim Examiner.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical ability and mathematical aptitude.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to supervise and develop staff.
• In-depth insurance knowledge and negotiating skills.
• Familiarity with legal, medical, and technical disciplines.
• State licensing where applicable for lines of insurance handled.

Responsibilities

• Supervises investigation, management, and disposition of Workers Compensation claims.
• Establishes performance standards, conducts appraisals, and administers personnel actions.
• Reviews and assigns losses to claim examiners; ensures workload balance and productivity.
• Provides guidance based on best practices; assists with reserves and settlements.
• Keeps leadership informed of activities; escalates issues when needed.
• Manages workflows in Risk Tech Claim System and related systems; may train staff.
