Job summary

B&S Site Development is seeking a Civil Superintendent to lead field operations across multiple active projects. The role requires advanced heavy‑civil knowledge, strong leadership, and proactive problem‑solving to deliver on time and within budget.

You will oversee safety, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and ensure compliance with plans and standards while developing field crews for peak productivity and accountability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in site development or heavy civil construction.
• Minimum 3 years in supervisory role as Superintendent or similar leadership role.
• Read and interpret civil plans and construction documents; knowledge of earthworks, underground utilities, stormwater systems and paving.
• Knowledge of construction safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate field personnel.
• Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Valid driver's license.
• OSHA 30 certification highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations on projects and ensure milestones are met.
• Coordinate and schedule crews, subcontractors, equipment and materials.
• Review and interpret plans, specifications and construction documents.
• Ensure work is performed per plans, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
• Oversee safety compliance and conduct safety meetings and inspections.
• Maintain daily communication with Project Managers on progress and challenges.
• Lead and develop foremen and field crews to boost productivity and accountability.
• Manage inspections, tests and documentation required by authorities or clients.
• Identify risks or delays and apply corrective actions promptly.
• Maintain accurate records, daily reports, timesheets and material logs.
