Job summary

Orion Marine Group is seeking an experienced field supervisor to oversee civil construction activities on allocated projects. You will lead field crews, coordinate with subcontractors and project teams, ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with contract specs, and manage resources to keep projects on schedule.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to read plans, interpret specifications, and enforce processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of civil construction experience with 5+ years in a supervisory role.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specs; strong leadership and communication skills.
• Understanding of project scheduling, resource allocation, and safety practices.
• Basic computer skills and construction-management software.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards on all work.
• Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to meet schedules.
• Monitor progress, productivity, and compliance with specs.
• Read drawings and verify materials align with contract documents.
• Track equipment, manpower, and material needs; develop look-ahead plans.
• Provide leadership and direction to field personnel; collaborate with engineers and safety.
• Enforce company policies; maintain accurate site records and logs.
• Identify and resolve field conflicts with minimal disruption.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold safety responsibilities.
