Job summary

Orion is seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Marine Construction in Houston to provide project engineering and field support for marine and heavy civil projects. You will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field personnel to ensure safe, efficient, on-schedule, and within-budget project execution.

The role involves cost tracking, procurement, subcontractor management, scheduling, documentation, and coordination of self-perform construction activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline and approximately 5+ years of relevant construction experience.
• Experience in marine construction, heavy civil construction, infrastructure, bridges, foundations, ports, waterfront construction, or similar self-perform environments.

Responsibilities

• Support project engineering and field operations to ensure safe, efficient, on-schedule, and within-budget execution.
• Develop bid packages and scopes of work for subcontractors; solicit and evaluate proposals.
• Coordinate with Superintendents, Foremen, Surveyors, and field crews to plan and execute work.
• Assist with estimating, cost controls, scheduling, and project documentation.
• Travel to active construction sites and participate in field operations as needed.
