Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Licensed Senior Civil/Structural Engineer with 5+ years of utility industry experience to lead design reviews and bid/construction support for substation projects. Candidates will mentor junior staff, perform critical reviews, and conduct client site visits with travel as needed.

Strong candidates will have PE licensure in relevant states or the ability to obtain, plus experience with structural design software and AutoCAD/MicroStation.

Qualifications

• PE license required in PA/OH/WV/MD/NJ or eligible within 3–12 months.
• SE licensure preferred.
• Proficient with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint and MATHCAD.
• Experience with RISA 3-D, STAAD.Pro, FAD, SAG10, and LPILE.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
• Team player with ability to communicate with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead substation civil/structural design reviews and projects.
• Develop junior staff and mentor team members.
• Perform design reviews for civil/structural components in support of bid/construction packages.
• Conduct site visits to client substations; travel as needed.
• Ensure compliance with scope, schedule, and budget.
