Leidos Engineering seeks a Substation Senior Structural Engineer with 5+ years in the utility sector to lead design reviews and mentor junior staff. Strong background in steel, concrete, geotechnical design and foundations is required, with travel to client sites as needed.

The role involves overseeing bid/construction package development, seismic design considerations, and collaboration with utilities and government/industrial clients in the Orlando area.

Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science in Civil-Structural Engineering with 5+ years in utility design or 3+ years with MS.
• PE license is required; SE licensure preferred.
• Experience with structural design reviews and foundations for substation projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews of civil/structural components for substation projects.
• Develop junior staff and supervise project teams.
• Perform site visits and ensure compliance with codes and budgets.

Education

BS in Civil-Structural Engineering (or MS with 3+ yrs)

PE License

SE licensure preferred

Strong analytical & technical writing
