Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Licensed Senior Civil/Structural Engineer with 5+ years in the utility sector. The role focuses on design reviews of steel/concrete structures, geotechnical elements, and substation components. Travel to client sites and industry events is expected.

You will lead projects, guide junior staff, and ensure quality, scope, schedule, and budget adherence in a dynamic design team environment.

Qualifications

• PE license required in PA, OH, WV, MD, NJ or ability to obtain licensure in these states within 3–12 months
• SE licensure preferred
• Experience with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint & MATHCAD software is required
• Experience with RISA 3-D, STAAD.Pro, FAD, SAG10, and LPILE software is required
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation is required
• Strong analytical and technical writing skills
• Team player with ability to communicate with clients and staff

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews and mentor junior staff on civil/structural projects
• Perform design reviews for substation components and support development of bid/construction packages
• Conduct site visits to client substations and travel for meetings/industry events
