Job summary

Leidos Inc is seeking a Substation Senior Structural Engineer with 5+ years of design engineering experience in the utility industry. The engineer will lead projects, perform design reviews, and mentor junior staff. Knowledge of steel structures, concrete structures, and geotechnical engineering is essential.

This role involves site visits and occasional travel, with a preferred location in Portland, OR, or at least residing in the Pacific or Mountain Time Zones. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in design engineering within the utility industry.
• PE License preferred in CA, WA, OR or ability to obtain within 3-12 months.
• Experience reviewing civil/structural designs, especially for substations.

Responsibilities

• Perform design reviews for civil/structural components of substation projects.
• Lead projects and develop junior staff members.
• Ensure compliance with project scope, schedule and budget expectations.
