Job summary

Thomas & Hutton in Georgia is seeking a civil engineer to lead large-scale, multi-phase site development projects for mission-critical clients across the Southeast. You will own design deliverables, mentor teams, and coordinate with clients and consultants in a fast-paced environment to deliver innovative solutions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, 6+ years of experience, a PE license preferred, and strong skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D, communication, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license strongly preferred.
• 6+ years of civil engineering design experience.
• Experience producing site design plans for large multi-phase projects.
• Strong understanding of civil site development including grading and utility infra.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, preferably Civil 3D.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a client-facing focus.
• Strong leadership abilities and experience in project teams.
• Understanding of business metrics for project success.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities with strong problem-solving and time management.

Responsibilities

• Manage large-scale, multi-phase civil site development projects for mission-critical clients.
• Prepare and oversee construction drawings for site grading, water, sewer, and storm drainage.
• Lead project teams to deliver design solutions meeting scope, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Participate in client meetings and provide technical guidance and updates.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to support design development and execution.
• Monitor project performance including scope, schedule, and budget.
• Support proposal development and contribute to project planning efforts.
