Thomas & Hutton in Mount Pleasant, SC seeks an experienced civil engineer to lead large-scale, multi-phase site development projects for mission-critical clients. You will prepare construction drawings for grading, water, sewer and drainage infrastructure and coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree, 6+ years of design experience, and a PE license is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license strongly preferred.
• 6+ years of civil engineering design experience.
• Experience producing site design plans for large multi-phase projects.
• Strong understanding of grading and utility infrastructure.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D for design development.

Responsibilities

• Manage large-scale, multi-phase civil site development projects.
• Prepare and oversee construction drawings for site infrastructure.
• Lead project teams to meet scope, schedule and quality goals.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams.
• Provide technical guidance and project updates at client meetings.
• Monitor scope, schedule and budget performance.
• Support proposal development and project planning activities.
