Job summary

Thomas & Hutton is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead site development projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors in the Southeast. You will mentor junior engineers, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and serve as the primary point of contact for clients.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license, has 7+ years in civil design and project management, and is proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE license required.
• 7+ years of civil engineering design and project management experience.
• Experience managing civil site development for residential, commercial, or industrial clients.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil site development projects from concept through construction for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
• Prepare and oversee construction drawings for water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure.
• Lead project teams to meet scope, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Serve as primary client contact and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support design development with AutoCAD Civil 3D and monitor budgets and timelines.
