Job summary

Thomas & Hutton in Buford, GA invites an experienced Project Manager / Civil Engineer to lead large-scale mission-critical site development projects across the Southeast. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, manage scope, schedule, and client expectations, and produce site design plans.

With 6+ years in civil engineering design and a PE license (preferred), you will use AutoCAD Civil 3D to drive design development, mentor junior staff, and help grow client relationships while upholding our

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 6+ years of experience in civil engineering design.
• Experience producing site design plans for large-scale, multi-phase projects.
• Strong understanding of civil site development including grading and utilities.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, preferably Civil 3D.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a client-facing focus.
• Strong leadership abilities and experience working within project teams.
• Understanding of business metrics for project success.
• Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize workflow.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage large-scale, multi-phase civil site development projects for mission critical clients.
• Prepare and oversee development of construction drawings for site grading, water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure.
• Lead project teams to deliver design solutions that meet scope, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in client meetings and provide technical guidance and project updates.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to support design development and project execution.
• Monitor project performance including scope, schedule, and budget.
• Support proposal development and contribute to project planning efforts.
