Job summary

Thomas & Hutton is seeking an experienced civil engineer to lead large-scale, multi-phase site development projects across the Southeast. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and work directly with clients in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

A PE license is strongly preferred and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required. You will oversee design development, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and budget targets while

Qualifications

• Requires a Civil Engineering degree and PE license strongly preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in civil engineering design required.
• Experience producing site design plans for large-scale, multi-phase projects.
• Strong understanding of civil site development including grading and utility infrastructure.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Manage large-scale, multi-phase civil site development projects for mission critical clients.
• Prepare and oversee construction drawings for site grading, water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure.
• Lead project teams to meet scope, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in client meetings and provide technical guidance and project updates.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to support design development and project execution.
• Monitor project performance including scope, schedule, and budget.
• Support proposal development and contribute to project planning efforts.
