Job summary

Thomas & Hutton is seeking an experienced civil engineer to lead residential site development projects across the Southeast. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, manage scopes, schedules and budgets, develop construction drawings, and mentor engineers and technicians to deliver high‑quality solutions for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license required.
• 6+ years of civil engineering design and project management experience.
• Experience with residential site design and working with residential clients.
• Strong understanding of civil site design including water, sewer, and storm drainage systems.
• Experience managing project scope, schedules, and budgets.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil site development projects for residential/private sector clients.
• Prepare and oversee construction drawings for water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets and ensure delivery.
• Lead proposal preparation and fee development.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams.
• Visit client offices and project sites to support execution and business development.
• Supervise and mentor engineers and technicians on project teams.
• Communicate project status, risks and solutions effectively.
