Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Towson, Maryland office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join their Land Development team. This is not a remote position.

You will perform site development engineering and project management for residential and commercial projects, coordinating with clients and jurisdictions, managing budgets and schedules, and assisting with bid packages and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D. A PE license is required or obtainable within 12 months.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Experience with site civil design, permitting, and software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience with task management, concept design, and assisting project management tasks.
• Coordinating with clients, attending client meetings, and overseeing quality standards.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and ability to build plan sets and construction documents.
• Design experience including utilities, site layout, drainage, due diligence and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management for residential and commercial projects.
• Manage a variety of land development site designs and related tasks.
• Monitor progress, budgets, and schedules on assigned projects.
• Coordinate with clients, jurisdictions, and contractors to advance projects.
• Prepare bid packages, technical specifications, and construction documents.
